Leapwork Fusion for D365 F&O Preview
Get incredibly easy and 5-10x faster automation of Microsoft D365 F&O with Leapwork Fusion.
We are very excited to finally be able to show a preview of our new Fusion engine, which makes it incredibly easy and much faster to perform test automation across your entire enterprise tech stack. In the following video, we’ll show how to automate Microsoft D365 F&O with Leapwork Fusion, which is built into the Leapwork Automation Platform:
At the heart of Fusion is a new record - edit - run experience, which is up to 5-10x faster than any previous version of Leapwork, but just as importantly, it is tailor-made for packaged applications like Microsoft D365, Salesforce, LabVantage, ServiceNow, Oracle Netsuite, and many more. Each type of application is supported with a number of dedicated building blocks for that application.
Productivity-boosting features
Among the many productivity-enhancing features are a unique “Login to D365 F&O” building block, which ensures that the correct type of browser is open, and the right user has been logged in. This includes support for Multi-Factor Authentication and re-using already opened browsers for fast execution.

A new Fusion recorder user interface is embedded right into the browser, making it much easier to record complex scenarios and clean up mistakes as you are working.
Whatever you do, from clicks on buttons to navigation, to setting field values or dropdowns or calendars, or getting data from tables - it will all be automatically recorded as F&O-specific building blocks. All comboboxes and dropdowns, including complex multi-select checkbox dropdowns, are supported with all available options recorded:

When a recording is done, clicking on “Save” transforms it into Leapwork’s signature visual language inside Studio, where you can then create re-usable subflows, and parameterize and drive everything with the relevant test data. Or, if you just need to set a dropdown to a different value, all the options are right there in Studio.

If you’re used to Leapwork already, this will be completely familiar. Except, we’ve done away with locator maintenance because Leapwork Fusion is completely self-healing, and there’s no strategy editor anymore - it just … works.
Early access and general availability
Early access launched on March 31st, 2025, with support for Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O, and many other packaged applications will be added very soon after.
We expect that Fusion for D365 F&O will be stable and generally available (GA) as part of our 2025.2 release, currently scheduled for June 2025. We will be enhancing automation of all types of web applications, including anything custom-built, with this new Fusion engine before the end of the year.
