New England Wire Technologies (NEWT), a leader in custom wire and cable solutions, is undergoing a major digital transformation.

While integrating new applications like Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) and Power Apps, they sought a way to streamline their testing process without burdening their teams.

For nearly five years, NEWT manually tested their highly customized Microsoft environment. This process was slow, repetitive, and limited their test coverage.

Testing was also disruptive to business users as it involved large group meetings between QA and ERP Leads, which took significant time and preparation.

Impact

Leapwork has reduced NEWT's test execution time from 6 hours to just over 1 hour. Automation means that they require 50% fewer people to execute, allowing employees to focus more on their core responsibilities rather than testing processes.

NEWT has also scaled its end-to-end (E2E) testing. The team now runs E2E tests weekly instead of monthly, significantly improving their chances of catching bugs before production.

In addition to the speed and quality improvements, the platform has improved collaboration between IT and business users.
