Written by Kasper Fehrend | Apr 12, 2019 12:58:38 PM

Learn how to use command lines as part of test and process automation. This tutorial is part of our series about data-driven automation with LEAPWORK.

In LEAPWORK, there's a specific component for using command lines as part of automation flows: The Command-line block.

This component is essentially just like a DOS Prompt, so it can be used for a lot of different purposes, not only to drive data into a flow. This tutorial covers uses for the Command-line block as part of an automation flow, such as:

  • Starting an application
  • Executing DOS commands
  • Input and get values to and from scripts
  • Writing to files
