Learning centerPlease note that a terminal session must be active in order for Leapwork to connect to it. You can use desktop building blocks to create a sub-flow that will automatically start a terminal session. Different terminals (e.g., IBM i Access, Rumba Desktop+) require different steps.
Building Block Header
The green input connector (top left) triggers this block to begin execution.
The green output connector (top right) is triggered when a terminal session is successfully connected.
You can always change the title of a block by double-clicking on it and typing in a new title.
Terminal session type
Leapwork supports sessions from A-Z (uppercase), and allows you to switch between sessions within the same flow. There is also an “Automatic“ option which connects you to the latest active session. Please see information on the Switch Session block by visiting the link on the left side of this page.
Error occurred
If “Connect to Session” returns an error during execution you can use this output connector to branch your flow.
Default timeout
If the 'Default Timeout' property checkbox is not selected, then the timeout value will be set to 10 seconds unless changes manually. If the 'Default Timeout' property checkbox is selected, then the 'Default timeout' value selected in the flow settings (under “Max. run time) will be applied.
The Green Screen Recorder and building blocks are available with Enterprise plans.
