Data Generation Section

The Data Generation feature in the Customer Portal leverages the power of AI to enable customers to generate data for data-driven testing. This feature allows users to create various types of data tailored to their specific needs, ensuring comprehensive and efficient testing processes.

Generate Data

This section allows you to create your test data in a structured and straightforward way, ensuring you have the precise data needed for your testing scenarios. Follow these three simple steps to generate the data you require:

1. Write the name of the template in the Template Name field.
2. Choose the type of data you want to generate (such as usernames, names, last names, emails, passwords, dates) in the Select Columns dropdown.
3. Select the Country Preference for the data.
4. Click the Next button.
5. Provide the number of records to be generated.
   Note: The process can automatically generate up to 50 records.
6. Click the Next button.
   

After generating the data, you can visualize and download it, then save it as a template.

Manage Templates

The Manage Templates section offers comprehensive tools to handle your saved data templates, making it easy to reuse and modify data sets as needed. Here are the key functionalities:

• Rename Templates: Update template names for better organization and identification, especially with multiple testing scenarios.
• Regenerate Data: Generate varying record numbers to quickly adapt to new testing requirements.
• Delete Templates: Remove unnecessary templates to keep your workspace organized.
• Download Templates: Export templates for use in Leapwork Studio or other tools, enhancing testing workflow efficiency.
